Stöcklewald Tower can be reached on foot within some minutes. You can climb up to the top of the tower from where you have an awesome view of the Black Forest or you can enjoy a cool drink in the pub instead. Another destination is nearby Chapel of Hubertus which is idyllically situated. Other places in the immediate vicinity you should not miss to see are:
Triberg (6km) has Germany´s highest waterfall, Furtwangen (12km) invites you to visit its famous clock museum, Schönwald (4km) has a nice swimming pool, St. Georgen (8km) has a natural lake to swim in, Gutach (20km) is home of a collection of original and typical farmhouses of the Black Forest.
For all those who like to travel around a bit either by organized bus tours or in their own cars there are many absolutely exciting destinations such as the old university city of Freiburg (60km) or the Lake of Constance (80km) with the medieval towns of Konstanz, Meersburg, Überlingen and Lindau.
Another highlight – not only for kids – would be “Europapark” in Rust (85km).
